🐾 Loving What the World Overlooks 🌿❤️

🌎 I’ve chosen to give my heart to the ones most people walk past—the wild souls dismissed as pests, forgotten, or unwanted. Not because it’s simple or sensible, but because I know the silent cost when no one shows up for them.

🐇 Every day, rabbits are torn from their nests in backyards, opossums wander porches only to be chased away, squirrels curl up in attics and are treated as intruders. Yet these quiet creatures are the unsung keepers of balance in our ecosystems. They belong here, just as much as we do.

🏡 At Cottontail Cottage, we open our doors to the overlooked. And when you pause long enough to truly see them, something shifts. You watch a rabbit unclench and finally rest in safety, hear the soft clicking song of an opossum greeting you, or feel the warmth of a squirrel tucking into a blanket—and suddenly, you understand: this isn’t a nuisance. This is someone.

💬 People often tell me, “I never thought I’d love an opossum,” or, “I had no idea rabbits had such personalities.” The truth is simple: every life has value. A creature doesn’t need to be cute to be cherished, tame to be worthy, or profitable to deserve protection.

❤️ So I will keep going—for the rabbits called pests, the opossums ignored by the roadside, the squirrels no one chooses. This is not just my work—it is my vow, my calling, my love made visible.
