Remembering Collin: A Superman of Love and Courage

Remembering Collin: A Superman of Love and Courage

Collin was the kind of boy who lit up every room he entered. A karate star, a dancer, a football fan, and a friend whose laughter lingered long after he left. He loved fishing by the bay, celebrating summer jubilees, and cheering for his beloved Alabama team. But more than anything, Collin loved people — and people loved him back.

His journey was marked by both hardship and incredible resilience. At just four years old, Collin was diagnosed with leukemia. He endured a bone marrow transplant and the grueling treatments that came with it. Against the odds, he survived — and for the next 12 years, he lived cancer-free.

Those years were not defined by illness, but by joy. Collin filled them with sports, music, friendship, and countless moments of laughter. His family and community watched him grow, not only in strength, but in kindness and love.

Then, in 2023, tragedy struck again. Cancer returned in a rare and aggressive form. Collin faced surgery, proton therapy, and endless treatments. Yet through it all, he never stopped smiling. He never stopped loving. He never stopped being the boy who brought light wherever he went.

In June 2023, Collin passed away, leaving behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years. His family calls him their Superman — a hero who showed them what courage looks like, and who taught them that love and faith shine brighter than even the darkest battles.

Collin’s story is one of resilience, joy, and love that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, his spirit, and his unwavering strength will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

Though his time was far too short, Collin lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a light that will never fade.
