Anthropomorphic sculptures of the Tartessos peoples

Archaeologists have, for the first time, excavated human-shaped sculptures created by the Tartessos people, a lost civilization that once thrived in southern Spain around 3,000 years ago and is linked to the legend of Atlantis.
According to researchers, these sculptures may depict the gods and warriors of the Tartessos.
The discovery of five human-faced reliefs at the ancient Tartessos site of Casas del Turunũelo has revealed surprising details about the society of the Copper Age, which mysteriously disappeared around 2,500 years ago.
Although these people produced countless beautiful artifacts, these reliefs are the first human-shaped sculptures ever excavated at this site.
