Tomb of Ramses IX (KV6)

At the entrance of KV6 in the Valley of the Kings, West Bank of Luxor, a striking scene depicts the pharaoh Ramses IX making offerings to the eagle-headed sun god Ra.
Born Amon-her-khepshef Khaemwaset, he later took the throne name Neferkare Setepenre Ramesses IX. Ruling from 1129–1111 BCE, he was the eighth pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of Egypt.
His tomb, with its richly decorated walls, reflects both the artistic traditions and the religious devotion of the late New Kingdom period.
