The Luxor Temple is a vast ancient Egyptian temple complex situated on the east bank of the Nile River in the modern city of Luxor.

Constructed around 1400 BCE, it was known in the ancient Egyptian language as Ipet Resyt, meaning “the southern sanctuary.”
