In 1996, while filming Seven Years in Tibet in the streets of Argentina, Brad Pitt came across a stray greyhound he named Blanco. The encounter would mark the beginning of a quiet rescue mission that revealed another side of the Hollywood star.

During his stay in Mendoza, Pitt couldn’t ignore the sight of stray dogs roaming the streets. One by one, he began taking them in. By the time filming wrapped, he had rescued 13 dogs, making sure each was fed, given veterinary care, and placed in a safe and loving home.
